| In our clinics we follow an international protocol for infection control for the safety of our patients and team members. The use of barriers such as gloves, masks, instrument trays, tray covers, covers of the working surfaces and light handles. Here are a range of instruments used in the dental practice which are disposable and hence control cross-infection inherently. Those which are meant for repeated use are cleaned through a series of steps such as chemical cleaning & heat sterilization followed by proper handling after sterilization. Our office is fully equipped with materials, Reagents and appliances to ensure hygiene and infection control of internationally recognized standards. All consumables like needles, syringes, blades gauze, gloves, glasses, cannulas etc are disposable and single use. All other equipment is sterilized after every patient and every appointment in sealed no reusable individual pouches by autoclaving. Prior to autoclaving vibrating ultrasonic baths are used to clean and disinfect all instruments and tools. All working surfaces in the clinic, including trays, table tops basins and handles are disinfected with industrial standard reagents between two patients. All surgical equipment including the containers used to store instruments is autoclaved for every patient and the clinic is maintained in a aseptic environment before any surgery. We recognize that protecting out patients, our staff and ourselves is our responsibility and we spare no time or expense in ensuring the safety of those who trust us with their oral health. |
